Happy Black Friday and Thanksgiving week! I hope it has been a wonderful week filled with joy, delicious food, and time with your loved ones. November has been awesome. I felt like I *finally* slowed down a little. The month started with my sister-in-law getting married, and it was a 66 degree November day which was glorious! My husband and I volunteered at a Young Life (a Christian ministry we used to be heavily involved in and is actually how we met) camp, and it was so great to experience it as a married couple. I’ve been trying to keep my sourdough starter alive, had some time at home while my husband went deer hunting, and have spent a lot of time in the kitchen cooking and baking, which makes me so happy. This week we got to host my parents for a Thanksgiving dinner at our apartment just us 4 and the rest of Thanksgiving we had a change in plans and we ended up spending it just my husband and I. We plan to get our Christmas tree sometime this weekend hopefully!
Here are five bits of goodness to kick off the weekend:
- Learning lately: In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I listened to a sermon last Sunday that talked through Romans 11:33-36. I am reading these verses over and over this week. They really remind me of being ‘wowed’ by God and giving Him the glory. I also love how this scripture points us to God as our source, our sustainer, and our goal. We don’t deserve any of the praise, it’s all Jesus and His grace that is given to us.
- Recipe: I made these coffee cake muffins for a good friend this month. They were unreal! So delicious. This blog is also super beautiful and fun to explore, would recommend checking it out.
- Worth listening to: A podcast series on social media by Risen Motherhood. Incredibly thought-provoking and wise to be aware of our boundaries and posture behind our online presences.
- Eyeing these flannel sheets, and these flavored coffee pods for my Nespresso.
- Recent purchases: Fun dog toy for Moose that has been indestructible so far which is hard to come by, this cozy electric scent warmer, and this Advent devotional that I am very excited about.

- I have one more gift guide blog post coming, and have loved putting together the ones I have so far. They are truly things I own and love, have purchased as gifts, or would recommend to a good friend. I also wanted to note: I do make a small commission if you choose to purchase something through a link I share on my blog or Instagram. It is no cost to you but it gives me a little kickback for the time I put into sharing and creating the content that I do.
- There are two ways to shop things that I share: go to my “Shop” page at the top of my blog, or follow my LiketoKnow. It in the LTK app. At either of these locations, you’re able to tap anything you see and it brings you directly to the site as normal to purchase.
- I’d love to know any blog posts you would love to see this winter and in the upcoming months. Leave me a comment!
