Books I’ve Loved in 2022

Hello reading lovers! I wanted to have a place where I keep track & share all of the books I’ve loved in 2022 with you all. I have always loved to read, but it hasn’t been until recent years that I’ve dove deep into reading again. Christian books will always be my favorite, and very important to me to read alongside the Word of God. I’ve also loved novels more recently – the feeling of indulging in a great story has also been such a fun way to spend an unplugged afternoon or relaxing evening before bed. I hope you enjoy this round-up that I will continue to add to throughout the year!

Books to Add to Your Reading List

Garden City – This was a top read for me. Absolutely incredible perspective on work & rest. Work, every career and job, being of importance to our society, and our identity being so much more than our work. Rest, and finding a sabbath rhythm that works for your household, was very uplifting.

Where the Light Gets In – A sad, but comforting read about a woman’s story of her mother’s struggle with Alzheimers.

The Nightingale – My first historical fiction read, and it was remarkable.

The Great Alone – Loved Kristin Hannah so much, I dove into this one right after The Nightingale. Enjoyed the story-line and location of this one.

In Five Years – A fun & light, entertaining and perfect summer read!

Fervent – Encouraging and practical read about a woman’s prayer life. This book really made me take prayer seriously, and to not let the devil think He has a shot of sabotage, not even for a second. Inspiring!

Have You Seen Luis Velez? This was such a feel good story. Loved the character development!

Woven – A book to help you understand the Bible as a seamless story. The author’s narrative wasn’t my favorite, but I definitely took away a few things about scripture as a whole from this read.

That Summer – A summery read for sure. There was a few sensitive parts to this book that I didn’t enjoy, but I’m glad I finished it!

Currently Reading in September: Uncommon Ground by Timothy Keller and Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery.

Let’s be friends on Goodreads. And I’d love to know what you’re reading! Leave a comment below!
