Hi friends! Welcome to the blog. Excited to share this mini travel blog with you today on a city in my home state of Minnesota. Hope you enjoy!
Follow along to see my husband and I’s adventures of taking his sister and her fiancé around St. Paul for an evening in the city! They are getting married soon and we wanted to treat them to a fun night out. It was so fun to spend quality time together with family.
Where We Stayed:
SpringHill Suites by Marriott St. Paul Downtown – This hotel was very updated and clean. It was within walking distance of every place we went to. The continental breakfast was great, and the lobby and breakfast area was very spacious and pretty! They also had a nice bar and patio area to enjoy.
Things to Do:
- Barrel Theory Beer Company – We started the night off at this brewery. The beer was great! It was busy inside because it was a Saturday, but the patio area was just as nice, had open seating, and a cute pergola. We also enjoyed people watching everyone walking!
- Lime Scootering – I’ve gone scootering twice before, but my sister-in-law and her fiancé hadn’t and it was a blast for everyone to do it together around a few blocks near the hotel/brewery/dinner. Seriously, such a blast! And a good way for quick transportation if you don’t want to walk or drive.
- The Bulldog Lowertown – Our dinner spot! We all got a burger, and they were phenomenal. We also got the cheese curds and pretzels for an app which were both very good as well. They had a wide variety of drink selections, and indoor and outdoor seating and we only stood outside for a wait for around 10 minutes (that’s pretty good for a Saturday night if you ask me!)
- St. Paul Saints Game at CHS Field – We ended the night going to the Saints game! The Saints are a AAA Minor League baseball team and play in a smaller stadium than a MLB team. The Saints staff does an excellent job of keeping everyone entertained between each inning, and there’s a wide variety of food and drinks to enjoy around the stadium. I love walking around the stadium during the game as well and just enjoying the summer night!
- St. Paul Farmer’s Market – Sunday morning we walked a few blocks after grabbing some hotel coffee to enjoy the farmer’s market. We grabbed a few fresh veggies and bouquets of flowers (my favorite part!) and it was such a nice start to the day.
A few other nearby St. Paul spots I would recommend:
- The Buttered Tin / I’ve heard amazing things about this breakfast spot! Bummed we didn’t have time to stop here.
- Truestone Coffee / Right across the street from the farmers market!
- Tin Whiskers Brewing
- Keys Cafe & Bakery / One of many locations.
- Saint Dinette
