Blended Baked Oats – Simple One Serving Recipe
My recent discovery of blended baked oats has upped my morning and breakfast game! If you love oatmeal, and want a breakfast that tastes like a dessert and is also filling and nutrient-dense, this is for you.
What are baked oats?
Baked oats are exactly what they sounds like – oatmeal that is baked. I believe the trend started on TikTok – I saw them first from Fit Foodie Finds. The recipe I will be sharing is a simple, one serving recipe. I started with a recipe and now just toss in the ingredients in about the same ratios and have adapted it a little (I use banana now vs. egg when I started).
Peanut Butter Banana Chocolate Chip Blended Baked Oats Recipe:
1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
2. Start by grabbing an oven-safe dish or bowl and spray with non-stick cooking spray
3. Next, get your blender out – this is the one I use!
4. Add all of the following ingredients into the blender & blend:
- 1/2-3/4 cup old fashioned oats
- 1/4-1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp peanut butter
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 1/2 banana
- Top with dark chocolate chips
5. Bake for 27 minutes (I tried 25 to start but 27 bakes them just right haha) and enjoy!
Note: I must say, having to blend and bake this meal for a half hour takes a little bit of planning ahead that not everyone always has time for, but I promise they’re worth it!
